Let the Shenanigans Begin!!

The suitcase is packed (more like absolutely stuffed), the boarding passes have been printed, and in less than six hours the journey that I have been anxiously anticipating since October will begin. You would think that after wrestling with my beat up duffel bag for the last several hours trying to capitalize on every square inch I could muster, it would register that I'm leaving... but it still hasn't hit me yet.

Now, I'm not sure if it's the denial or what (I'm calling it God-given comfort), but there is not an ounce of me that is hesitant, scared or worried about what lies ahead.  However, I understand that my feelings of excitement and peace are not necessarily felt by everyone reading this (cough cough Dad and Dana Musulin), so here are my safety promises:  1.  I will obey the "buddy-system."  2.  I will act under the policy of "stranger=danger" within reason, because let's be real, everyone is going to be a stranger to me at first.  3.  Don't worry Dad, I won't participate in a bull fight, I don't exactly know why this is a fear of yours, but I figured I should include this for safe measure.  4.  I will stay as far away as I possibly can from snakes.  5.  I will wear my knee brace when it is needed.  6.  And finally, Dad, this time I will seriously try to stay away from roofs, unlike ASP 2010 ;).

Now let the shenanigans begin!

"You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands." Isaiah 55:12

  4. As your favorite teacher from high school, I think you should be wearing your knee brace while participating in any kind of physical activity e.g. playing volleyball with the kids:)

What a great experience! Take care.
